Dancing On Ice 2021 is back on our screens and this year’s line-up have already been training for weeks.
Myleene Klass was the first celebrity confirmed to take to the rink, but she will be joined by Rebekah Vardy, Billie Faiers, Denise Van Outen and Jason Donovan.
Beloved hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are returning for tonight’s launch show and the rest of the series.
Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, John Barrowman and Ashley Banjo are also back as judges.
And with the coronavirus pandemic throwing the entertainment world into chaos over the last year, ITV bosses have pulled out all the stops to ensure this series will be the best yet.
Here are all of the celebrities taking part in Dancing On Ice 2021…
Former TOWIE favourite Billie Faiers confirmed the news on Instagram by sharing a post of her skates.
Billie will be following in fellow TOWIE star Gemma Collins’ footsteps, as Gem competed in 2019 with professional Matt Evers.
Announcing the news, she wrote alongside her Instagram snap: “I am soooo excited to announce that I will be taking part in @dancingonice.
“I still can’t believe I am actually doing it!! I am soooo nervous but so excited… This will honestly be one of my biggest challenges yet!! I have zero ice skating or dance experience but I’m going to give it my all and make my family and most of all Nelly and Arthur proud.”
She concluded: “Wish me luck️.”
Billie’s skating partner is Mark Hanretty.
Lady Leshurr confirmed the news in an appearance on Kiss Breakfast with Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely.
Speaking on the radio show, Lady Leshurr said: “Oh my gosh I don’t know what I’ve got myself in for but everyone knows me to be that person to just throw myself in at the deep end and I just wing it a lot of the time.”
She added, “I’m petrified, (but) I’ve always wanted to ice skate so what’s better than doing it in front of millions of people?
“I’m looking forward to having a new skill, (skating) backwards and just showing off in front of my friends.”
Lady Leshurr will skate with Brendyn Hatfield.
Rebekah Vardy is excited to be taking part in Dancing On Ice.
The 38-year-old mother-of-five – who is married to 33-year-old football ace Jamie Vardy – is said to be getting a £50,000 pay cheque to star in the upcoming 13th season of Dancing On Ice.
Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid announced the news on Good Morning Britain.
GMB host Piers couldn’t resist teasing her on the Wagatha Christie drama and joked that she was “used to skating on thin ice”.
When probed, she also insisted that she would “clear her name” amid the Coleen Rooney drama.
The star is said to be keen to make a return to the spotlight after featuring on I’m A Celeb back in 2017.
Rebekah’s skating partner is Andy Buchanan.
Capital DJ Sonny confirmed he’d be donning his skates during the Breakfast show with Roman Kemp and Sian Welby.
The star teased his big reveal during the “good news” segment by playing the This Morning theme – hinting at hosts Holly and Phil.
“I’m so happy for you, mate!” Roman enthused.
And Sonny even received messages from judge Christopher Dean, and endorsements from hitmakers Lewis Capaldi and Sam Smith.
Sonny is skating with Angela Egan in the new series.
Aussie actor Jason confirmed he would be taking to the ice in 2021 during a video call appearance on This Morning.
“With a show like this you really have to dedicate and work hard at it,” he said, chatting to Holly and Phil.
“[I also have] the opportunity to spend Sunday night with you guys!”
And despite his excitement, Jason admitted that injury is a concern.
“Injury is a big jeopardy of the show,” he remarked.
Jason’s skating partner is Alexandra Schauman.
Former Corrie star Faye called into Lorraine to confirm she’d be putting on her skates.
Faye, who played Kate Connor on the Cobbles between 2015 and 2019, warned that her skills might not be up to scratch.
She even branded herself “Bambi on ice”.
Faye will be skating with Hamish Gaman.
She’ll be following in the footsteps of other Corrie stars, Brooke Vincent and Samia Ghadie, who came third and fourth on the show.
Denise Van Outen
Denise and her boyfriend Eddie Boxshall have become firm fan favourites on Celebrity Gogglebox, but come January she’ll swap telly and the sofa for skates and the rink.
Loose Women star Linda Robson accidentally let slip that Denise would be taking part live on the show.
Denise called in, telling the panel: “I am so excited, finally I get to tell people, because I have literally kept this a secret from most of my friends and family.
“[Daughter] Betsy doesn’t even know, she is at school so she is going to find out this afternoon when I pick her up from school.”
Denise confirmed she will be skating with Matt Evers.
Emmerdale star Joe Warren-Plant has been confirmed for the Dancing On Ice 2021 line-up.
The 18-year-old was the second star to confirmed for the ITV skating show after singer and radio presenter Myleene was revealed.
Soap queen Sharon Mashall announced the news on This Morning as hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield teased this year’s “cracking” line-up.
Speaking on This Morning, Joe-Warren said that his character Jacob would be written out of the soap as he leaves to find a job in Portugal.
Joe revealed his skating partner is Vanessa Bauer.
Singer and radio DJ Myleene Klass became the first celebrity to be confirmed for Dancing On Ice 2021.
The 42-year-old announced the news just weeks after becoming engaged to her boyfriend Simon Motson, who she has a young son with.
Her signing has come as a surprise to some as it had been believed she wanted to take part in BBC rival Strictly Come Dancing.
Myleene said of taking part: “I have a 13-year-old daughter and a nine-year-old daughter who are obsessed with ice skating.
“They both ice skate and I stand there and I hold the coats. That’s my role – to tie the shoelaces and hold the coats. Now it’s my turn to learn and I can’t wait!”
Myleene will be skating with Lukasz Rozycki.
Rufus confirmed he’d be taking part in Dancing On Ice 2021 during Martin and Roman’s Sunday Best.
“I’m doing it for the money,” the comedian joked. “I don’t know if you’ve heard, but about six months ago this global pandemic hit and made just about everything I’ve ever done to earn a pound note disappear!
“And so this point has arrived and they said ‘we’ll pay you’ and I said ‘do you know something? I love ice skating!'”
Boasting a number of high profile comedy show appearances – including Celebrity Juice and Have I Got News For You – Rufus could be bringing the laughs in 2021.
Rufus will be skating with Robin Johnstone.
Colin Jackson confirmed he’d signed up to take part in Dancing On Ice next year on BBC Breakfast.
The Olympic sprinter – who got to the final of Strictly Come Dancing back in 2005 – said he has some experience of ice skating.
He explained: “I can do a little bit of skating. I think with sport in itself you’ve certainly got a bit of balance and that will be transferable in this circumstance.
“How much dancing we’ll do, who knows?! We’ll see how the choreography goes.”
Colin will skate with Klabera Komini.
Former Olympic skier Graham Bell was the final name to be confirmed on the Dancing On Ice 2021 line-up.
He revealed the news when he appeared on BBC Breakfast alongside his pal and fellow athlete Colin Jackson when they both announced they’d be taking part.
“Ice doesn’t scare me, it’s the dancing whereas I know you can dance, Colin,” he said.
Graham admitted that his dancing experience went as far as “dancing on tables, wearing ski boots in après ski.
“It’s not graceful and elegant.”
Graham will skate with Yebin Mok.
